We've seen a property we'd like to buy, but he owners are abroad until Xmas. Can we get a mortgage in the meantime?

My family and I have been offered a property which is ideal but the current owners are working in Dubai and won't be back till Xmas. What will we need to do to get the ball rolling as our house is sold and waiting for us to sort a new residence ( hope you can help)

If the pruchase price has been agreed with the vendors, then there's no reason why you can't get a mortgage application underway. The only thing which may hold the process up, might be getting access to the property for the mortgage valuation. Most mortgage offers are valid for 3 months, by which time the vendors should be back from Dubai and able to complete the transaction.
