Returning Ex Pats

We are returning to the UK after six years abroad, we have a mortgaged property of which we have circa 300k invested the house is worth arounf 850k, we would like to sell and buy another property, I am 50 years old and have paid my mortgage without a problem for over 15 years, please advise, our house has been rented.


The biggest problem for returning Ex Pats is usually a lack of credit history meaning Lenders have nothing to base their decisions on.  In your case this isn't so and they will be able to get at least some information from the address of your current UK property.
