My son has 2 CCJ's, will this stop us getting a Parent Assisted Mortgage?

Posted on 22 August 2012 by jean

My son has 2 ccj's on his credit file from his young and foolish days. He now wants a mortgage with his partner, whose credit file is clear. My bank offer parent assisted mortgages which I am willing to consider. My credit score is excellent.  What are our chances with my name on the mortgage?

The only way to find out for sure is to speak to your bank.  They will want to see a copy of your son's credit file so that they can make an informed decision before accepting an application from the three of you.
