My initial buy to let was with GMAC which was sold on to Mortgage Express. I have been on a variable rate now for a few years as my fixed term came to an end. With interest rates set to rise I am considering another fixed rate but read some where that Mortgage Express is no longer renewing deals is this correct? If so why was I not advised by letter?
Mortgage Express was owned by Bradford & Bingley and following nationalisation are unable to offer new Buy to Let deals. I cannot comment on why you were not advised of this personally. A help line has been set up to answer any questions you may have and you can call 0845 604 4540 between 8am-7pm Monday-Friday.
I believe you would benefit from speaking to one of our independent mortgage advisers about switching to another Fixed rate. Please call on 0344 346 3672 and tell the consultant the date and title of your question. They will be able to look at your situation and advise you accordingly.
