Failed credit score due to inactivity, and we need to exchange in 3 weeks. Can you help?

Posted on 14 July 2013 by Sue

My Husband has been declined for a 75% mortgage with a fair credit score of 840 (due to inactivity) we have found a house and unless we exchange in next 3 weeks it will go to auction. Are there any lenders which you would recommend we try?

Sue,

There are lenders that will do a credit check rather than a credit score and would accept lower credit scores and at 75% loan to value, then there is some room to manoeuvre. These lenders underwrite a case manually and are less reliant on the credit score.

An adviser will need to assess the full case before recommendation is made and application is then submitted. As 3 weeks is very short period of time, i would suggest that you speak to our consultants without delay. Let me know when would be best for you and I'll get one of our advisers to contact you.

Regards,

Simon
