Do I have an interest in the property if I'm not on the mortgage?

My wife has mortgage in her name only we pay the interest only from our joint account do I have a interest in the house?

Steve,

If you are contributing to the household, and the mortgage, then in the event that you separate, there would be an argument that you have an interest in the property, however it would be very unlikely to a 50 / 50 split. It would usually be based upon the level of yoru contribution and how long you had actually been married.

Simon
