My wife and I are British – Iraqi citizen and we wish to buy house back home to use it when we go there in holidays.
My question is can we get a mortgage from our bank to buy house there. Our jobs and living are here in the UK?
I am not aware of an UK banks who will arrange a mortgage for you to buy a home in Iraq. The only way we would be able to help you would be by raising the capital on a property in the UK which had sufficient equity to cover the amount required.
If you own a property here I believe you would benefit from speaking to one of our independent mortgage advisers. Please call on 0344 346 3672 and tell the consultant the date and title of your question. They will be able to look at your situation and advise you accordingly.
