Buy to Let Rental Assessment

Posted on 3 April 2011 by harry

If I borrow £111,000 on a buy to let how much am I required to rent the property for?  My rent would be £700 a month, how much can I borrow?

Harry,

The amount of rental income you need for a loan of £111,000 is approximately £580 and a monthly income of £700 will allow you to borrow around £135,000.  The actual amount will depend on the Lender and individual mortgage product that you choose.

I believe you would benefit from speaking to one of our independent mortgage advisers. Please call on 0344 346 3672 and tell the consultant the date and title of your question. They will be able to look at your situation and advise you accordingly.
