Barclays Mortgage

Posted on 1 June 2012 by David

My Barclays Mortgage was paid up some years ago, but on checking today I find that they still appear on the Charges Register of the property Title. How can I get this removed?

David

It sounds like you are using Barclays Deedstore service and if this is the case the charge will not be removed until you ask for them to release the Title Deeds to you.  Whilst you may wish to have the charge removed to show the mortgage has been repaid you will have to find a safe and secure place to store your title deeds and I think you will find that the convienience and low cost of having your deeds stored by Barclays outweighs the cost of storing them elsewhere.
