Intelligent Finance wrote to all exisiting mortgage customers on 15 Feb - (in non plain English) indicating a possible reversal of their retirement from the mortgage market. However it is impossible to track down any new mortgage rates or contact anyone to discuss. As an SVR customer waiting to jump onto the right fixed offset mortgage package I wonder if John Charcol have any inside knowledge on Intelligent Finances intentions in the mortgage market.
As you are probably aware, when Intelligent Finance withdrew from the mortgage market they set up arrangements within the Lloyds Group to accommodate existing customers. Offset products were made available through Scottish Widows and non Offset through Halifax.
Their recent announcement changes these arrangements and existing customers can now apply for a product transfer product and remain with Intelligent Finance. At the moment they have not announced what rate these products will be and whether they will be Fixed or Bank Base Trackers.
