We own our house outright, mortgage free, but are wanting to buy another home near the coast to use as and when we can then eventually retire there. Would it be possible to get a mortgage on the 2nd property as this wouldn't be our main residence.
Without knowing any of the figures involved, I can't say for certain, but in theory there's no reason why you can't get a mortgage on the second home you are looking to buy. As long as you meet the lenders standard criteria and affordability checks this should be something that can be done.
I think it would be worth exploring your options in a bit more detail, and if you speak to one of our consultants on 0344 346 3672, they'll be able to give you a clearer idea of exactly how we can help.
More than mortgages, talk to me about:
Financial Protection | Investments | Personal and Corporate Pensions | Home Insurance
General Insurance | Valuations | Conveyancing | Wills | Home finders
