In September last year Bristol & West mortgages were taken over by Bank of Ireland.  I know that Bank of Ireland do not consider guarantor mortgages, but may consider a mortgage in the joint names of you and your father even though he will not be named on the Title Deeds.  I recommend that you both take independent legal advice in this respect.

To add or remove a name(s) on your mortgage account you will need to complete a Transfer of Equity. Please call Bank of Ireland's Mortgage Specialists on 0845 300 8000* or email them at customer.advantage@boipluk.co.uk for further information. They'll be able to guide you through what is required and sort everything out for you.
