Oliver Driscoll

Oliver has been a broker for 8 years after graduating from university. As a mortgage adviser Oliver provides impartial, expert advice on purchasing and refinancing property in the UK.

He is a mortgage specialist with extensive experience in first-time buyer, home mover, remortgaging, buy-to-let, specialist buy-to-let, new build, high net worth and expat mortgages.

Oliver has been listed as a finalist at the British Mortgage Awards in 2018 for the category New Build Broker of the year, at the time he had been specialising in the new build purchases.

Oliver lives in the South of UK in Bath and outside of work he is interested in sports and enjoys keeping himself fit.

Initial fact finding and research

Oliver will arrange a phone/teams appointment meeting at a time that suits you. This is where he will collect all the necessary information to go away and research your case and come back to you with the best mortgage options available in your circumstances. If you’re looking to purchase a property, he can help to secure you an Agreement in Principle confirming your lending capability.

Pre-application

Following on from a discussion about the lending terms available to you and selecting the best deal for your circumstances, Oliver will let you know what documents will be needed by the mortgage lender and will put together and submit your application to them.

Mortgage underwriting and mortgage offer stages

Post application the lender will underwrite the mortgage that has been applied for. This is where they will assess the applicants for the loan and arrange a valuation on the property itself. Provided this all goes as planned it will result in you receiving your mortgage offer which will allow you to exchange and complete on the property.

Oliver has an admin team that will contact and update you during this part of the process. They will ensure that the underwriters are addressing your case in a timely manner and that the lenders survey on the property is booked in as soon as possible. Post offers the team will chase both your and the sellers’ solicitors to make sure you are never forgotten about and help you get completed on the property as soon as possible.
