Separation and mortgage payments.

My husband has left haven't a clue where he is the mortgage is in his name only but we have a secured loan on the property in joint names, can he stop me making mortgage payments?

Caroline

I do not believe your husband can not stop you making payments to the mortgage, but you need to take legal advice and for this reason I have referred your enquiry to our in house Solicitors, Rollingsons.  They will be in direct contact with you.

From my experience with Halifax, we didn't check where payments were coming from, just that they were paid in full and on time.
