Nationwide Consent to Let

Posted on 14 April 2010 by Lucy

I contacted my mortgage provider yesterday (Nationwide) in relation to getting consent to let. Due to expanding our family we need to rent a bigger property. Nationwide have sent out forms for me to fill in and then they will consider my request....Do you have any guidance on what they are looking for to ensure my request is accepted? We bought the property last September and have never missed a payment.

So long as you follow the letting requirements listed by Nationwide on the front of their application form, it is very rare for them to refuse consent. The maximum overall period for consecutive lettings is currently 3 years, after which you will have to review your mortgage arrangements.
