My retired parents, aged 69 and 70, need a £20k mortgage on a property they're buying for £127k. Could you please advise?

Rachel,

Unfortunately many of the major lenders aren't in the market to lend to retired people, and are therefore likely to be unavailable to us.

However we have excellent relationships with those lenders who manually underwrite cases and can judge each case on its individual merits, rather than adopting the 'computor says no' mantra.

If you'd like to talk to one of our consultants to see how we could help your paremts, then please let me know and I'll arrange for one of them to contact you.

Regards,

Alistair
