Can my partner remortgage without my permission?

My partner wants to renew the mortgage in his sole name but keep my name on the deeds. Where do I stand with this? Can he sell the property from under me or do I have any say in the property?
Very simply, if you are listed as a registered owner then your partner will not be able to take a mortgage out in his sole name.
