Can I remortgage to pay for school fees?

I own a mortgage free property approx value £300k I would like to release some equity(£50k) to help pay for my sons school fees. Would I be able to re mortgage?

Christine,

Subject to finding out the rest of your personal situation, I can't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to raise the £50,000 for your son's school fees.

If you'd like to discuss your enquiry in more detail, please let me know and I'll arrange for you to speak to one of our consultants.

Regards,

Simon
