Can I go on the deeds to the house, if I can't go on the mortgage?

Posted on 3 December 2012 by Bilal

Hi it's me Bilal I just want to ask one question please. My wife can get a mortgage, but I cannot, can the property be in both names or just my wife's name , please reply to me asap.

Bilal,

Unfortunately you won't be able to go on the deeds if you aren't on the mortgage application. You don't mention the reason that you are unable to get a mortgage, and it may be that depending on the circumstances, we might be able to assist you.

As John Charcol is an Independent, Whole of Market broker, we also deal with those lenders who manually underwrite, and can therefore judge each case on its merits.

If you'd like to discuss your enquiry in more detail, then please let me know and I'll arange to put you in touch with one of our consultants.

Regards,

Simon
