Ray Boulger, Senior Technical Manager
Ray Boulger is widely regarded as the guru of the mortgage market and has received numerous awards from journalists and the mortgage trade for his work in the media. These include winning both the Mortgage Strategist of the Year and The Guru of the Year at the headlinemoney.co.uk awards, Press Spokesperson of the Year at the British Mortgage Awards, and the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Mortgage Stratgey awards.
Ray is available for media comment and interviews 24/7 (and we really do mean 24/7). He is an expert in all areas of the mortgage and housing markets, from mortgages for first time buyers right the way up to complex funding for development and commercial funding.
Ray has spent all his working life in financial services, initially training for 5 years with a firm of Chartered Accountants and then 18 years as a stockbroker. He spent most of this time as an institutional gilt edge and fixed interest expert. Ray is an IFA and joined John Charcol in 1989 as a consultant. He has been in his current role of Technical Manager / Senior Technical Manager - Mortgages for 10 years.
Ray is vice-chairman of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) and is a member of the MCCB Advisory Committee.

Drew Wotherspoon, Director of Marketing
Drew started his career in financial services when he joined Bradford & Bingley in March 2001 as a press officer to work on the newly created MarketPlace at Bradford & Bingley brand. He also had additional responsibility for looking after the group's savings business. At the start of 2004 he was promoted to senior press officer.
In November 2004 he moved to become PR Manager for John Charcol with responsibility for the entire group press functions. In October 2005 he was appointed Head of Communications and Director of Marketing in October 2008. Drew sits on John Charcol's management board.
Drew can comment on most areas of the mortgage market, but has a particular interest in first time buyers, trends in the mortgage market and consumer rights.
