British Citizen living overseas , I need a buy to let mortgage, please advise if this possible.

Yes this is possible. I would use a broker just because you will find it easier to have the right forms and documents fed-exed to you when you need them.
If you want to proceed without help, you can contact directly Abbey, BM Solutions (if you work for a multi-national company) Cheltenham and Gloucester, Natwest, Woolwich or Mortgage Express. A broker has access to a few more.
