How can I remortgage an investment property in Swiss Francs?

Posted on 22 August 2007

I am looking to remortgage an investment property in London value GBP 600,000 (350,000 loan) in Swiss Francs. I have 5 tenants in the property with individual tenancy agreements. Can you lend on this basis? Please advise.

Hi Nigel,

The only Swiss Franc BTL I know of at the moment is Derbyshire, and this is a Sterling loan which is simply tracking Swiss 3 month LIBOR.  They are even able to consider 5 tenant HMOs so it is worth putting it to them if that is sufficient.  Alternatively, if it is borrowing in Sterling but with a facility to switch the actual debt to another currency throughout, we have several offshore lenders who could consider your needs.

If you would like to proceed on either type we can arrange this for you. Please contact 0800 718191 where a specialist advisor from our sister company, John Charcol will be able to help you.

Regards

Katie
