Are we eligible for a first time buyer mortgage?

Are my husband and myself eligible for a first time buyer mortgage? We have had a mortgage previously, but for the last 18 months have lived in rented accommodation (by choice - no arrears prior to that).

Hi Gwen,

Some lenders would treat you as first time buyers and some would not. Thankfully, however, it is extremely rare that there would be special FTB's products any more, so you can apply as normal to any lender.
